Climate Newsletter Machine Learning Project

My current project is to design a webscraper powered by machine learning to aggregate events related to climate advocacy and store them in a centralized database for a climate-focused newsletter. Link to repo to be added.

Procedural Ethics and Moral Machines Coursework

To teach the fundamentals of Python and Natural Language Processing for designing generative AI chatbots, I have written instructional materials as Jupyter Notebooks, which we accessed using Google Colab and assigned via Google Classroom. My lessons may be copied and downloaded from Google Drive.

Evennia Project

A collaborative project to design an online text-based roleplaying game using the open-source platform Evennia, based on Python and Django. The public repo, including my contributions, may be found here.

Data Science Projects

Data for Good Collaboration with Growing Gardens

The students of DSCI 240: Data for Good will complete data science tasks for Growing Gardens including data cleaning, aggregation, analysis, visualization, and survey development. If possible, students will also volunteer for at least one on-site Growing Gardens event during Spring Semester 2025, supervised by the instructor and facilitated by Growing Gardens. These activities support the community metro-wide through the Home Gardens program, in correctional facilities, and at 11 Title 1 schools in East Portland.
